Dresden. The Star Club is absolutely huge and has the best sound system of any place we played at. Not many people showed up on this dreary, rainy evening. But I took comfort in the fact that Soul Coughing played here. The awesome meal they made for us in the club's private kitchen was spectacular, featuring mushroom and leek soup, 2 salads, 2 kinds of pork, camelized cabbage, kohlrobbi, wine and coffe. Such meal would plaster a smile on any weary traveler. We had to nap for awhile afterwards. Soundman Steve

Versaw recorded this show, and it turned out to be one of our best. If you're interested in hearing it, just drop me a mail and we'll set something up.
Matt's Journal: The drive in was gloomy. The club and hotel are on the outskirts of town, right on the Ebbe river. The rain somehow enhanced the industrial atmosphere. I knew we were going to be treated well at this club. Our dressing room was full of food and drink with a hot meal on the way, and 4 guys helped us unload the gear. Damn!
